Cheltenham Festival Ante Post Tips – Other Key Races
Posted by adminDec 16
For the time being we will just have one thread for the ‘other’ races at the Festival so please use this page to tell us if you think Dunguib represents any value at 7/4 for the Supreme Novices or tell us if you fancy Sizing Europe or Tataniano for the Arkle and why.
Maybe you think Tranquil Sea can follow up his Paddy Power win in the Ryanair or that Punchestowns is the one to be on in the RSA Chase?
Please give us all your thoughts on any of the races at the Cheltenham Festival 2010 not covered in the other four threads.

Tataniano for me in the Arkle. I thought he jumped well when winning at Cheltenham in November and I’m a bit surprised he’s not a shorter price. Sizing Europe has been impressive but can we trust him?

Look out for Petit Robin if they go for the Ryannair and Shinrock Paddy was very impressive last time so could go close in his choice of engagements.

Think Menorah must have good chance in supreme novice. Was extremely impressive when slamming odds on Belvano at kempton. Time was very good too. After race Nicky henderson(trainer of belvano),let on how high he rates the winner too.At around 8/9-1,looks a reasonable e/w bet against the very short favourite,Dunguib(who has met nothing in the calibre of Menorah in his 3 bloodless hurdle wins).

Just acquired a new system for bumper races and tried out in the last at Taunton were two qualified Mizzurka and Some Secret.
Result Mizzurka ran out a game winner, the same system points out Allow Me, Mr Tallyman and Vannin at the last on Catterick.
If one of these three wins then it looks good for ARAUCARIA in the cheltenham bumper and is available at 16/1 in certain bookies.

Pablo,
Done a lot of work on the 4-Miler and I have backed Fabalu and Saddler’s Storm so far. Also like the look of Synchronised and Abbeybraney.
Richards Sundance and Any Currency are contenders but Youngstown is the stable no. 2 behind Fabalu, Massasoit is a weak finisher (see last Sandown run) and Ringaroses has poor course form.

I think Ringaroses is a lively outsider but will wait for 5 day decs before thinking of having a bet
His course form was with Henrietta Knight over hurdles where the horse seemed a bit of a monkey but he seems to have improved for going to Jonjo – also plenty of stamina influences on the dam’s side
Any Currency looks a worthy favourite though
Plenty of time to change my mind but those two stand out to me at the moment

Hi got tips here for the novices
First is the supreme novice hurdle and the choices are Bellvano, Blackstairmountain & Dunguib so a risk free bet on the other two with Paddy Power because if Dunguib wins all losing bets get refunded.
Arkle is between Long Run, Osana & Sizing Europe.
Neptune Novice Hurdle looks between Manyriverstocross, Rite Of Passage, Summit Meeting, The Betchworth Kid and The Hurl
The RSA looks between Bensalem, Burton Port, Diamond Harry, Punchestown (I think is out for season) & Weapon’s Amnesty
While the bumper Drumbaloo has joined Araucaria.
Got these tips from Weekender and although they might not all come in I am hoping a few does.

John,
I like Tavern Times as well in the bumper and, like most people I guess, I will be backing an Enda Bolger horse in X Country – prob Freneys Well.
Quel Esprit for me in the Neptune – jumps really well

Crash
Also got a word for Sportsline in the arkle, was looking at the afterrace workout at leopardstown last week and looked really good, jumped very well
and the two at the top of market captian cee bee and sizing europe would not be the best of jumpers, good value at 11-1
